Practical tip: “The right childcare”
Choose the best option for you and your children!
Allow plenty of time to find the right childcare service. Use the Internet to research. Get an overview of the offers in your area. You can find out more information by visiting the websites of your local authorities and speaking to other parents. Neighbours, friends and colleagues might be able to give you tips and recommend centres and offers.
Your local Youth Welfare Office (Jugendamt) will be happy to offer you advice on the childcare options available in your town or region.
Visit childcare facilities to find out more!
Visit the centres you find interesting. Ask for a personal chat with the carers and get your own impression of the facilities.
Register your child in time!
Register your child at the centre in time, or have your name added to the waiting list as soon as possible. Enquire about possible registration deadlines at the facilities.
